What Vektor Is Not
An honest description of scope, limitation, and design intent. We believe you should know what this platform does not do before we tell you what it does.
Every signal, model weight, and allocation decision is documented and auditable. You see exactly what the system is doing and why.
Vektor supports the portfolio manager. It does not replace mandate interpretation, client relationship management, or regulatory judgment.
Systematic methodology is not a promise of returns. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Vektor uses machine learning for specific, defined tasks. It is not an autonomous trading agent.
No. We are telling you this before you ask because it is the right thing to do. IBKR integration has been built and validated through paper trading. Live client execution — real-money order submission — is the next milestone. The condition for go-live is the first Proof Partner's first production period. The Proof Partners programme is how the live track record begins. See WP-09 and WP-10 →
Vektor covers listed equities. Fixed income, alternatives, and private markets are on the roadmap. Not at launch.
Vektor is a portfolio management workflow tool. Using it does not constitute a regulated activity. Discretionary and regulatory responsibility remains entirely with the licensed portfolio manager using the platform.
InvestPuppy and Vektor do not hold investment management licences. Regulatory responsibility remains with the licensed entity using it. Vektor’s AI governance framework is consistent with the principles published by MAS (FEAT framework), the FCA/PRA (UK), FINMA (Switzerland — nFADP/DSG), SFC/HKMA (Hong Kong), and DFSA/FSRA (UAE). Regulatory documentation covering MAS (PDPA, MAS TRM Guidelines), FCA/PRA, FINMA (nFADP), SFC/HKMA, and DFSA/FSRA is available on request.
Vektor is built for discretionary listed equity mandates. It is the wrong tool for mandates requiring judgment-based allocation across asset classes. If your mandate includes a listed equity component alongside fixed income or other assets, Vektor can manage the equity component as a distinct mandate — enquire and we will confirm fit.
Client data is held in AWS Singapore (ap-southeast-1) by default. Regional deployment to AWS London (eu-west-2), AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1), or other AWS regions is contractually specifiable at subscription — no additional cost, agreed at signing. If your mandate requires data to remain within a specific jurisdiction, confirm your region before signing and it is written into your Data Processing Agreement. Contact us to confirm the right configuration for your jurisdiction.
Having been precise about what Vektor is not, here is what it is. With the same precision.
A specific question? For example:
"IBKR paper trading is validated — what does live execution depend on, and when does it happen?"
Direct factual response. No data-gathering. No bullshit.
Systematic listed equity management — signal-driven, fully auditable, across any exchange and currency.
Multi-mandate — multiple concurrent mandates, each with its own benchmark, constraints, and reporting — see three markets running simultaneously →
Institutional rigour — the same systematic infrastructure institutional asset managers use, accessible at boutique scale.
Human-gated — every allocation is reviewed before execution. The portfolio manager retains full authority.
Fully auditable — complete decision trail from signal to execution. Every step documented. Audit trail is not an afterthought — see it in production →
Proof-of-concept offer — Show us a mandate. We run the full Vektor workflow on your data. No slides. No promises.
